Louise Scott (1936-2007), Canadian.

Louise Scott was born in New York of Canadian parents and grew up in Ottawa before spending most of her creative life in Montreal. In a 1977 interview quoted in her Globe and Mail obituary she was on record noting that "I love color and light and I try to produce images that are pleasing. There is no significance more profound than that”. Scott’s work is held in the National Gallery of Canada collection as well as in many other prestigious collections across the country. Her works feature regularly at auction.
