Graham Sutherland was a prolific English artist notable for his paintings of abstract landscapes and for his portraits of public figures, including for his portrait of Winston Churchill commissioned in 1954. Churchill's wife destroyed the "deeply unflattering" painitng shortly thereafter.
Mosque is an original artwork created by Graham Sutherland in 1975. It was part of the portfolio San Lazzaro et ses Amis. Hommage au fondateur de la revue XXe siècle published by XXe Siècle, a Paris art magazine, in 1975.
Provenance : acquired at auction by Bohaus Art.
